RIYADH, 22 November 2007 — The Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. Central Region Chapter (IIEE-CRCSA) will hold its 9th Annual Convention at Al-Mutlaq Hotel along Old Airport Road tomorrow.

Eduardo Bautista, chapter president, called on members and other electrical practitioners not to miss the gathering because aside from the election of new officers, interesting topics will be discussed during the technical seminars.

Hussam Haddan of ABB Electrical Industries will talk about “Design Optimization with Doc.Win Program,” which Danilo Narsolis, the chapter’s vice president for technical affairs, described as “suitable for those who hate lengthy computations.” With the program, he said, one only has to “input data with several keyboard manipulations to get the electrical requirements.”

Adolfo Reyes of Saudi Lighting Co. will discuss “Lighting Design and Application” and Renato Datuin will present “Digital Protection Relay.”

“In order to inspire and support new generation of Filipino engineers and practitioners, IIEE-CRCSA will continue playing an important role amid the widespread and advanced technology,” Bautista said.

Consul Romulo Victor M. Israel Jr., the Philippine Embassy’s second secretary, was invited as guest speaker. He will also swore into office the new officials of the group.
