JEDDAH, 22 November 2007 — Mobily’s CEO Khalid Al-Kaf has been awarded the 2007 Businessman of the Year Award by the Middle East Business Achievements, organized by Leaders and Dubai Holding. The occasion was attended by number of international figures like Philip Kotler and a number of business professors from US and Europe, the company said in a statement yesterday.
Al-Kaf holds a BSC degree from George Washington and worked with Etisalat in UAE for 17 years.
Mobily, the second mobile operator in Saudi Arabia, has won the Best New Service award at the Telecoms World Awards Middle East 2007 conference, held in Dubai on Nov. 18-19, 2007.Competing fiercely against du, Qtel, Batelco and Zain, Mobily prevailed and was awarded the Best New Service Award for 2007.
