RIYADH, 26 November 2007 — The Ministry of Health is launching today its annual medical helpline for Haj pilgrims to get instant health advice. Dr. Muneera Abdullah Ba-Rajaa, a consultant in family medicine, will answer queries between 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. today over the phone. “Besides Dr. Muneera, we have a team of experts attending the calls who would give instant replies to callers who seek medical advice during their pilgrimage to the holy cities,” said Amal Moawiya Abu Al-Jedaie, who is overlooking the project.
The service, which is in Arabic, is being provided for the second consecutive year and is available on toll free number 800 2494444. The service is available to pilgrims between 7.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. for the next three weeks.
