MANAMA, 29 November 2007 — Over $20 billion ongoing infrastructure and real estate development projects are being showcased at the Bahrain International Property Exhibition 2007 (BIPEX 2007) offering a rare opportunity to investors, developers and buyers to seal deals over a three-day period. Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa, the minister of the Prime Minister’s Court Bahrain, in opening the BPIEX 2007, lauded the role of the real estate industry as one of the leading pillars of the regional economy and said that such events would help to promote this sector in the right direction.Mohamed Khalil Alsayed, president, BSE, said: “the opening of BIPEX 2007 signifies a major milestone not only for Bahrain’s real estate sector but also for the entire GCC region.
