JEDDAH, 29 January 2008 — A meeting of the Pakistan Community Forum will be held in the Consulate General of Pakistan at 5 p.m. today. Consul General Zaigham Uddin Azam will preside over the meeting, which will discuss matters relating to the welfare of Pakistani community, especially the provision of educational facilities for poor and handicapped children.
Separately, Pakistan’s Ambassador Shahid Karimullah said he was trying his best to complete the construction of the new consulate building during his tenure.
Speaking at the annual function of Pakistan Welfare Society in Jeddah, the ambassador said the construction of the new building would start after a team from the Foreign Office in Islamabad arrives on Feb. 3 to give formal approval to the plan.
