JEDDAH, 7 February 2008 — The SIFF-Eastern Soccer 2008, which was scheduled to begin on Friday, has been postponed, according to K.P. Abdul Salam, president of the Saudi Indian Football Forum (SIFF), which has been organizing the soccer tournament for more than a decade. “Some logistical difficulties have forced us to postpone the event for two weeks,” he said yesterday. Twelve teams, divided into two divisions, are taking part in the 12th edition of the championship, which is being sponsored by Eastern Curry Powder.
