BAHA — Police in Al-Mundul, 45 kilometers west of Baha, arrested two suspects who were attempting to flee in a GMC van. The two men were arrested on their way to Taif after they failed to stop at a checkpoint.
After growing suspicious, police units chased their vehicle and eventually they were stopped. Police found an undisclosed quantity of various weapons in the car. The driver was arrested immediately but his accomplice fled on foot.
Police launched a manhunt in the area and he was arrested in a mountain hideout later. Investigations are still ongoing to determine the smugglers’ motive.
