RIYADH — Dr. Azzam M. Al-Dakhil has been appointed chief executive officer of Saudi Research & Marketing Group (SRMG), the company announced yesterday.
It said the group’s board of directors at a meeting, which was held on Sunday, made the appointment on the recommendation of Prince Faisal bin Salman, chairman of SRMG. The new appointment of Dr. Al-Dakhil, who was up to now deputy CEO of the group, came into effect on Sunday.
Prince Faisal, who was SRMG’s chief executive, retains his position as chairman of the group’s board of directors and its executive committee, the company said.
The decision conforms with Article 2/25 of SRMG bylaw that calls for separation of the position of board chairman from any executive positions.
