JEDDAH, 27 March 2008 — The BMG Saudi Index ended yesterday’s session losing 4.05 points, almost 0.8 percent, to 516.87 points. The market turnover also decreased by 12.1 percent to reach SR2.1 billion ($573 million), versus SR2.5 billion ($652 million) registered in Tuesday’s session.

As for the performance of the shares, only 4 shares appreciated, with the National Shipping Co. of Saudi Arabia emerging as the best performer, moving up by 1.1 percent to SR23 per share. On the other hand, 23 shares depreciated, with Savola Group as the worst performer in the second consecutive session.
