JEDDAH, 29 March 2008 — Indian Consul General Ausaf Sayeed yesterday reconstituted three nonprofit voluntary organizations. The term of the new committees will be for two years. A 12-member new managing committee of Indian Forum will be headed by Abdul Ghafoor Danish as president, Mohammed Khalique, general secretary, Badruddin Ansari, program coordinator and Raman Madhu treasurer. Other members include V.V. Verghese, Nizamuddin Ali Khan, Wasim Mukaddam, Mohammad Saeeduddin Hyder, Ghazanfar Ali, Azhar Ali Zai, Javed Alam and Moin Khan. Abdul Kader Khan has been named president of Indian Pilgrims Welfare Forum, while Salim Quadri and Siraj have been named general secretary and treasurer, respectively. Other members include K.P. Abdus Salam, Syed Babajani, S.A. Abdul Malik, Syed Sharique Ali, Amir Dawood Patel and Bashir Ahmad. Five coordinators have also been appointed. They are Anjum Iqbal and Omar Khatab for Makkah, Anjum Shakeel Ahmad and Ahmaduddin Owaisi for Madinah and Syed Jamal for Taif. Sultan Mazharuddin will be the president of Indian Education Council, and Akbar Batcha new chairman of the Indian International School, Jeddah. Batcha’s tenure would be from April 2008 until March 2009.
