ISLAMABAD, 4 April 2008 — The advocate general of North West Frontier Province, Pir Liaquat Ali Shah, has resigned. Shah told reporters in Peshawar he had resigned because of personal reasons. He said he would continue to serve until a new appointee took over. Shah was appointed advocate general on May 23, 2006 by the government of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal.
