JUBAIL, 4 April 2008 — Police have arrested two South Asian men, one Indian and the other Bangladeshi, on separate charges of sexually abusing two nine-year-old children, one boy and one girl, in Jubail. Police said both men are being kept in police custody, while investigations continue, Al-Jazirah reported.

Man Dies After Spine Operation
RIYADH, 4 April 2008 — A 60-year-old Saudi man died several hours after undergoing a high-risk operation to join a broken spinal cord on Tuesday at King Fahd Medical city in Riyadh. Following surgery, doctors announced at a press conference that the operation had been a success. However, the man died a few hours later, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported.
Public Help Needed to Tackle Burglars
BANI MALEK, 4 April 2008 — Members of the public in the Bani Malik area are urged to cooperate with police to tackle a spate of burglaries in the area south of Taif. Director of Police Capt. Waleed Al-Zahrani said that forensic experts had gathered evidence leading them to the suspects and that police needed local people’s help to arrest those responsible.
