JEDDAH, 4 April 2008 — Students, youth and faculty members can now have a new identity and enjoy some exclusive privileges within the Kingdom and also when they travel abroad.
This follows a new partnership arrangement reached between US-based International Student Exchange Cards, Inc. and Jeddah-based Destinations of the Kingdom.
Franz A. Jost, president of ISE Cards and Raed H. Habiss, general manager of Destinations of the Kingdom, who signed the deal, gave details of the benefits that the community can get.
“The ISE Card is your ticket to massive savings over five continents,” he said. Discounts of up to 50 percent are offered on all aspects of travel, whether you are looking to explore the local culture in the form of museums and palaces or just affordable meals, accommodation and transportation.
“We also make traveling itself that much easier. Cardholders receive reduced prices on car and motorbike hire, and rail, bus and boat routes, hostels, hotels, as well as on selected airlines,” he added. A cardholder is also covered for $2,000 worth of medical expenses and up to $5,000 in evacuation fees. Even issues related to lost passports, travel documents or any legal problems that the cardholder may run into are tackled around the clock.
Any student or faculty member regardless of age, or youth under the age of 26 is eligible to apply for the card online. The card, which also serves as a new student identity document, is Mazaya Card, a student identification and privilege card, for use within the Kingdom, which is being made available through local travel agents.
