If it's a hazardous chemical substance, StreetLab Mobile can help first responders identify it. This point-and-shoot handheld is based on Raman Spectroscopy and it will soon be complemented by biological substance identification capability. That will enable StreetLab Mobile to identify in seconds a broad range of chemical and biological substances in liquid, powder and solid forms.
Using Raman Spectroscopy for data capture and analysis, StreetLab Mobile consumes little or no substance sample and easily allows the operator to understand and share results. The handheld unit uses extended-range wireless technology so first responders can quickly deliver accurate results from the field to tactical commanders at remote command centers.
