MAKKAH: A Saudi taxi driver shot two men in Al-Kaakiya district of Makkah yesterday morning following a dispute over fare.
Maj. Abdul Muhsin Al-Mayman, spokesman for the Makkah police, said the 31-year-old cab driver used to provide taxi services to women and fell into an argument with one of his customers over fare.
“The woman complained to her two brothers, who then visited the man at his home. During the course of a heated argument the taxi driver took out a gun, shot one of the brothers in the leg and the other in the stomach,” he said.
He added that the two men were taken to Al-Noor Hospital where they received treatment.
