DUBAI: A calligraphy exhibition featuring various works of art comprising Qur’anic verses, the sayings of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and wise sayings opened in Dubai yesterday.
The weeklong show, which was inaugurated by Sheikh Majid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, is being held at Dubai International Financial Center.
The exhibition features over 40 works by renowned calligraphists from across the Muslim world, including the UAE, sudan, Jordan and Turkey.
