JEDDAH: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, chairman of Kingdom Holding Company, received at his office in Riyadh recently professor Kenji Horiguchi, vice president of Japan’s Waseda University, and other officials. During the meeting, Horiguchi referred to the contributions made by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah that made it possible for the university to establish the Middle East General Research Institute and invited Prince Alwaleed to visit the university.

Saudia honors support staff

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabian Airlines recently honored several support service providers and flight attendants for their distinguished performance in a function organized here on Monday as part of a campaign called “Yes ..We Care.” The decorated staff members included inflight service superintendents Faisal Al-Dosary and Turki Al-Ameer, stewards Bandar Fayoomi, Abdul Rahman Al-Gowba, Mamdouh Al-Malki and Bandar Al-Ahmari, stewardesses Anjum Irfan, Latifa Mashroue and Sandra Croe.

New deals to boost power supply

RIYADH: Saudi Electric Co. has awarded five contracts at a total cost of SR1.9 billion to improve power supply throughout the Kingdom.
