TAIF: Once again, the case of mysterious traffic violations has appeared in the press. The most recent example is that of a high school student who discovered he owed SR14,000 for 79 various traffic violations across the Kingdom. According to a local Arabic daily, the student disputed the fines, but the Traffic Department has insisted he pay up immediately. Stories of people discovering traffic fines on their records that they insist aren’t theirs are common. Women have even learned that somehow they have traffic fines even though they are prohibited from driving.
