JEDDAH: Police arrested the brother of a man whose dismembered body was found next to a dumpster in the Al-Fayha neighborhood of Jeddah a month ago. The Yemeni national was arrested in a rundown district of Madinah.
A municipality worker found the body. Police were able to identify the body after a woman reported her husband missing. Relatives visited the local morgue and positively identified the body parts to be that of the missing man.
Col. Misfer Al-Juaied, Jeddah police spokesman, said the man, a resident of Madinah, has confessed to killing his brother following a dispute.
“He stabbed the victim in the chest several times. When the man died, he cut the body into four pieces, put them in a trash bag and dumped it in garbage,” Al-Juaied said. He sold the victim’s mobile phone before returning to Madinah.
