TAIF: If you’ve ever had annoying house guests you might be able to empathize with a man in this western Saudi city who — fed up with repeated prolonged visits by neighbors — whipped out his gun and ordered his clueless guests to clean up after themselves, including washing the dishes and the clothes of his children, as well as tidying up the house. According to yesterday’s Okaz newspaper, the wife of the man had been complaining about the neighbors constantly stopping by to visit, then staying for hours drinking tea and coffee and then leaving a mess for her to clean up. So the man decided one night recently to hold his guests hostage until they left the house in order. According to the report, the man called his neighbors the following day to apologize, saying he was only joking.
