TABUK: Members of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice arrested a man who it says was blackmailing a girl by threatening to send pictures of her to her parents, Al-Watan daily reported yesterday. The girl said that she knew the man for some time through meeting him via Bluetooth. He told her that he wanted to propose to her and wished to show her pictures to his mother first. So the girl sent him some of her personal pictures. He then asked her out, but she refused. He then threatened to send the pictures to her family. The girl then informed the commission members, who set up a meeting between the girl and her blackmailer. After the arrest, officers found the pictures (which were not pornographic) and the threatening SMS messages on the man’s phone.
