DUBAI: Temperatures are high as the summer in the Gulf approaches its peak. But this hasn’t stopped hundreds of people from throughout the region from visiting the Dubai Dolphinarium, the first fully air-conditioned indoor public aquarium in the Middle East.

The park houses three trained bottlenose dolphins and four seals that perform in a 1,250-seat water arena.

The AED33 million facility has 4.5 million liters of continuously purified seawater in an arena pool, habitat pool, medical and seal pool that the mammals live in.

“My two kids enjoyed the show totally,” says Mariyam from Bahrain who is currently visiting Dubai.

The Dubai Dolphinarium is the first of five concepts in Dubai Marine World, which also includes Dubai Oceanarium, Marine Science Institute, Gatorville and Fish Farm of the Future.
