YANBU: More than 3,000 Egyptian pilgrims have left the Kingdom via the Yanbu port after performing Umrah during Ramadan. A ship carrying some 1,500 pilgrims was set to leave Yanbu for Safaga in Egypt yesterday.
This is the second trip for pilgrims leaving through Yanbu. Earlier, more than 1,800 Egyptian pilgrims left abroad the “Red Sea 1”. Officials at the seaport said that all preparations were in place to ensure smooth exit for pilgrims without delays. Officials from the security and Haj agencies monitored the preparation.
A source from the Haj Ministry told Arab News that everything was going according to plans and there were no problems and complaints so far.
