JEDDAH: More than six million illegal pills, 800 kilograms of hashish and three kilograms of heroin have been seized in the Kingdom in the past two months, according to a statement by Saudi drug enforcers.
Spokesman Maj. Ibrahim Al-Hulail stated that in Riyadh alone 5.2 million unnamed types of pills (which is usually Captagon) were seized along with 120.9 kg of hashish and 1.6 kg of heroin.
Eastern Province officials reported that they stopped 306 kilos of unnamed drugs (probably hashish or heroin) from entering ports there.
In Jeddah, Maj. Al-Hulail said some 276,000 pills were stopped from entering through the Jeddah Islamic Port. Two people in Makkah were caught in this period with 1.5 kg of heroin.
