MADINAH: A Saudi citizen came up with a new way of reconciling with his wife after relatives failed to resolve a family dispute. The husband, according to the local daily Al-Madinah, went to a hospital emergency room, claiming that he was very sick and had to be admitted. The doctor, who examined the man, found nothing wrong with him but he insisted that he was feeling dizzy and could not stand up. The doctor admitted him, awaiting the results of tests he had ordered. Meanwhile, the husband called his relatives and told them that he was very sick. The news reached his wife who rushed to the hospital to see her husband and they left the hospital together.

DAMMAM: An expatriate almost lost his life because of a mobile phone call. Al-Yaum newspaper, which reported the incident yesterday, did not identify the name or the nationality of the expatriate but said while he was trying to park his car in front of a restaurant in which he works he received a call on his mobile. While talking, he forgot to apply the hand brake and the car rolled down until it reached the sea. Before it sank, the man noticed he was going into the water along with his car. He swam out leaving his car in the sea. The police, who were at the site by then, helped the man get out of the water and informed the coast guard to find the car.
