DUBAI: Dubai is to get one more five star hotel at the end of 2010, sources confirmed yesterday.
The five-star development, The Grand Fort Dubai, will be owned by Cavern Hotel and Resorts, a newly-formed joint venture company, and will be architecturally inspired by the royal palaces and forts of the beautiful Rajasthan region of India.
Nakheel and Bharat Hotels Limited will be equal partners in the venture which is set to become a prominent landmark, perched on a hilltop at the heart of Nakheel’s Al-Furjan development.
The 293-room hotel will feature a spa, business and conference facilities, extensive landscaped gardens, restaurants and retail outlets. The hotel’s design and construction will meet the Emirates Green Building Council coveted Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification requirements.
