Noodles reopens at Rosewood Corniche in Jeddah

JEDDAH: Rosewood Corniche has announced the return of Noodles, its interactive Chinese restaurant. Closed for Ramadan, Noodles has now reopened for diners looking for innovative spins on traditional Chinese cuisine. Guests are treated to an open-show kitchen where dishes are freshly prepared before their eyes. To mark the reopening, Rosewood Corniche is revealing an updated menu including traditional Chinese specialties from many regions. One of China’s most famous delicacies, shark fin soup, is prominently featured on the menu. Peking Duck receives particular attention as well, as chefs carve and serve the dish alongside tables in the dining area. Stir-fried lamian noodles and fresh lobster are other new menu additions. Zhang Qiang and Chef Ge Chuan You, both Chinese chefs with vast experience, have been preparing the diverse regional cuisines of China. With Executive Chef Richard Green overseeing, Chefs Zhang and Ge have modified the menu to bring a wider array of dishes and incorporate personal touches and secret recipes to put a creative flourish on the traditional dishes.

Nasair offers winter promotional fares till Jan. 31

Airbus challenges students worldwide to shape aviation

JEDDAH: Airbus is launching an international competition “Fly Your Ideas” for student teams worldwide to come up with innovative ideas to shape the future of aviation and help to enhance the sector’s eco-efficiency. The objective: Creating more value with less impact on the environment. The competition is open to college and university students from around the world, studying a degree, Masters or PhD in any academic discipline, from engineering to marketing, business to science and philosophy to design. The proposals can look at a wide range of topics including new materials, products and/or processes as well as aircraft performance, manufacturing and organizational and operational performance. A top prize of 30,000 euros is offered to the team whose idea demonstrates the greatest potential for improvement. Air Arabia celebrates fifth anniversary with great offers

RIYADH: Air Arabia, described as the first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa, began daily service to its latest destination Hyderabad, India, on Oct. 27 from the carrier’s main hub in Sharjah. The launch of this new destination coincides with the carrier’s fifth anniversary celebrations. As part of the five-year festivities, Air Arabia announced earlier this month the industry’s biggest promotional scheme by offering its passengers free flights on the carrier’s fifth anniversary day, Oct. 28 to any destination on the airlines’ network. The LCC made over 12,500 free seats available to its passengers, all of which sold out prior to Oct. 28. The anniversary period will culminate on Oct. 31 with Air Arabia hosting a day of celebration and family fun at Qanat Al Qasbaa, Sharjah.
