RIYADH: A 35-year-old Saudi woman recently found a solution to keep her husband away from home for a while. Speaking to a local daily, the woman said she could not put up with her husband for more than a few hours and that he refused to leave home after work. She said: “He takes the TV remote and flips from channel to channel.” The woman said she first thought of a divorce but since her family did not approve of that, they suggested the man marry a second wife.

JEDDAH: Two families had a fight on the Jeddah Corniche. The reason was that the child from one group shot a firework at the other. The child was unable to aim the firework high enough to keep it away from the other family. The two families then attacked each other, Al-Madinah daily reported.
