ABHA: Narcotics police in coordination with Abha prison officials arrested a man in his 30s who tried to enter a prison with 300 Captagon pills and half a kilogram of hashish.
A prison source told Arab News that the young man was caught red handed while trying to hand a cigarette pack containing drugs to an inmate who had been jailed for robbing a gold market last year.
He said the drugs were confiscated and the man was taken in for questioning.
Maj. Ibrahim Hassan, spokesman for the Anti-Narcotics Department, said such cases are not usually publicized until investigations are completed because they may involve other parties.
