JEDDAH: Dallah Al-Baraka Group executives gathered in Beirut for the 7th Annual Executive Forum recently. The forum was sponsored by Sheikh Saleh Kamel, president of the group, and attended by the CEO Abdullah Saleh Kamel. The forum was inaugurated by Sheikh Saleh Kamel.
The forum was held under the slogan “on track.” Executives from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Syria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Morocco, Tunisia, Spain and other parts of the world attended the event.
The forum was held with the aim to develop administrative talents of the top management and strengthen the spirit of loyalty among them as well as to continue the trend of innovation so as to retain competitive advantage.
Famous speakers and international experts took part by providing a variety of lectures focused on topics of contemporary management and strategy. The program also included a visit to the village of Meshrif, one of the group’s innovative projects in Lebanon. The project’s third phase was opened by Abdullah Saleh Kamel.
Sheikh Saleh Kamel, who welcomed the audience and guests, stressed the need to adhere to Islamic principles in dealing with the current economic crisis, with special emphasis on the Islamic banking system and its potential to contribute to a solution to the global economic woes. The CEO of Al-Baraka Banking Group (ABG), Adnan Yousef, explained some of the trends and strategies of the ABG and announced the launch of the new logo.
Brad Bourland, adviser of Jadwa Investment Company, spoke on the current financial crisis sweeping the world and its impact on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states. Larry Hochman, former director of British Airways, spoke on “The War on Talents and the Future of Human Resources.” Nick Nhidal, director of the Institute of Governance (Hawkama) delivered a lecture on corporate governance.
Sheriff Abdel-Azim, a lecturer at the faculty of Engineering of the American University in Cairo, focused extensively on the subject of professional ethics and its importance at work place and in our daily life.
Abdullah Saleh Kamel, who thanked the participants and organizers of the forum, presented certificates of appreciation to participants and hailed the spirit that prevailed in the forum.
