RIYADH: Mobily is still pushing with its personal data update campaign, dubbed Hawiyyati, to encourage its prepaid subscribers to update their personal information. The Saudi Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) had issued specific directives to all mobile operators in the Kingdom to urge their prepaid subscribers to update their personal data, citing the current security needs of the Kingdom. GSM operators are then obligated to disconnect all phone lines whose owners failed to renew their personal data by a certain deadline.

Mobily had launched the campaign in October to encourage its prepaid subscribers to drop by any Mobily branch and update their data. By doing so, they will be eligible to win 56 Toyota and Lexus automobiles.

“As a national company, Mobily is fully committed to ensuring the security and safety of its subscribers and their phone accounts,” said Mobily CMO David Murphy. “Mobily, with its track record of generous offers and attractive packages, has launched this campaign to give its prepaid subscribers 56 more reasons to come out and make themselves known.” Mobily’s campaign runs through Dec. 31.
