JEDDAH: Police yesterday raided a workshop owned by an expatriate lawyer who was using the venue to forge work visas and other official papers.

Spokesman of the Jeddah police, Col. Misfir Al-Juaid, said a number of stamps were confiscated at the workshop located in Jeddah’s Al-Kandra district. “Police received information about the activities of the expatriate who was closely followed until he was caught red handed. A number of stamps, forged papers and a large amount of money were also found in the man’s possession,” he added.

The spokesman said the lawyer, an Egyptian national, was arrested together with another man who was helping him in his illegal activities.
