JEDDAH: The Women Welfare Society will organize a three-day folklore bride festival under the sponsorship of Princess Alanoud bint Abdullah bin Muhammad at Jeddah Hilton from Saturday.
Consulates of Arab and Islamic countries will participate in the event to showcase traditional wedding costumes back home.
The first day’s program includes shows on the traditional Iranian, Yemeni and Algerian bridal costumes. The second day will be dedicated to Pakistani and Palestinian brides, in addition to a bridegroom from Bani Saad area in Taif.
The Tunisian and the Indonesian consulates will make their presentation on the third and final day of the show. The traditional costume of a bride from Madinah will also be showcased on this day.
