JEDDAH: A Yemeni worker died yesterday after falling from scaffolding on the Jamrat Bridge in Mina.
Witnesses said the man was working on the first level of the bridge when the accident took place. “He fell from the scaffolding while working on the bridge and died immediately,” said one.
Maj. Abdul Muhsin Al-Mayman, spokesman for Makkah police, said security officers have launched an investigation.
