JEDDAH: Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal yesterday laid the foundation stone for the northern container terminal at Jeddah Islamic Port. He also opened the new expansion of the northern passenger lounges at the port.
Prince Abdul Aziz bin Ahmed, chairman of the Gulf Contracting Loading & Unloading Company, which implements the new terminal project, thanked the governor for laying its foundation.
"Work on the project will start in the last quarter of next year and will be completed in the first quarter of the year 2010," Prince Abdul Aziz said.
