JEDDAH: A new sports clubhouse, which boasts an exclusive retreat for the elite, opened here on Tuesday night. The clubhouse has started enrolling its first batch of 500 members.
“Those aspiring to be its members will be carefully selected to preserve the club’s exclusivity,” Tarek Gazzaz told an informal press conference.
The clubhouse, which is launched in collaboration with European Wellness institute based in Frankfurt, Germany, offers several world-class facilities for its members. They include a full-fledged gym manned by experienced trainers and outfitted by Star Trac, as well as Spa facilities including massage parlors, and mud therapy salons. Its other attractions include two swimming pools, nutritional consultancy, lifestyle shopping, beauty care, plush relaxation lounges and a business center.
“However, what makes the Z Club a truly unique concept is its comfortable and contemporary feel, a sense of belonging that just a select few of the city’s elite can call their own,” Gazzaz said, adding that similar clubhouses will be established in Riyadh and the Eastern Province.
“The idea of conceptualizing the clubhouse has stemmed from the fact that the city does not have a limited membership clubhouse that is commonly seen in other parts of the world,” he said.
“In fact, every city in the world boasts a number of exclusive clubs where members enjoy a private, exclusive ambience in the company of like individuals, forming an important part of the social fabric,” said Gazzaz.
“The Z Club offers the very best luxuries and amenities that we can dream of anywhere in the world, but that is not what makes it so special. The fact that now, there is a members-only club in Jeddah, where the city’s elite can come and enjoy a very exclusive, private experience and feel at home, is what makes this different,” he added. Once full, no new applicants will be able to gain membership to the club and only existing members will be able to enjoy the club’s facilities, he said.
For memberships, Z Club has also opened Alpha Lounge — a reception center at Rawdah Star Mall in Rawdah district — where potential members may find out more about the club, and join it. Trained client service representatives are available to privately answer any questions clients may have and walk them through the Z Club concept.
