JEDDAH: An appeals court in Riyadh upheld sentences ranging between one to five years in prison and 500 lashes on four Saudis, for attacking a member of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice last year.
The four men — a father, his two sons and a nephew — were convicted of attacking and beating up Falah Al-Zahrani, a member of the vice police who had detained the two sons, Al-Riyadh newspaper reported.
The two sons had been arrested for allegedly harassing women in the streets, the paper said.
