ABHA: A retired soldier stabbed and critically injured his brother and sister-in-law, and then killed their 12-year-old son in the Rasras district of Khamis Mushayt on Saturday.
Police arrested the man, who was in an intoxicated state, yesterday.
According to a local source, the brothers had quarreled over a family property. The retired soldier is allegedly suffering from a mental illness.
“The boy who was sleeping when his uncle attacked him died a short while later at the King Fahd Hospital in Khamis Mushayt. The critically injured couple are in the hospital’s intensive care unit,” said Col. Abdullah Al-Qarni, spokesman for Asir police.
