RIYADH: Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology Mohammed Jamil Mullah visited the Saudi Telecom Company (STC) in Makkah on Tuesday. Saud Al-Daweesh, CEO of the company, and other officials briefed him on STC's Haj preparations.
The minister watched a presentation about the services that STC provides to pilgrims. He also reviewed the recent network expansion program that has increased Aljawal's coverage of Makkah and the holy sites by 50 percent.
The minister was also given a presentation outlining Aljawal's special offers to provide pilgrims with the best services at the most competitive prices, which are immediately available when they arrive in the Kingdom and during their stay in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. Further presentations covered STC's international agreements with mobile operators around the world, which have increased significantly in recent years.
Later, Mullah made an inspection tour of the holy sites where STC has worked to expand its network coverage, including all three levels of the Jamarat Bridge as well as Muzdalifah.
