MADINAH: A nine-year-old Mauritanian boy was rescued from a waterlogged hole at a construction site in the Salam district of Madinah early yesterday.
The boy’s parents had been looking for him as he had not returned home after sunset.
Some other boys informed the parents that they had seen their son playing near the hole that was dug for the foundation of a building; they went to the site and found him floating in it.
They called the Civil Defense who plucked the unconscious boy from the hole and took him to King Fahd Hospital where he regained consciousness. He is still being treated for his injuries.
