JEDDAH: King Abdulaziz Center for National Dialogue (KACND) and the General Presidency of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice signed in Riyadh yesterday a memorandum of understanding to reinforce and develop a culture of dialogue.
“The importance of this memorandum stems from the belief by both parties in the need for dialogue,” KACND spokesman Ahmad Mohammed Al-Jaradan said, adding that specialized staff members will help put in action the memorandum’s terms.
The memorandum includes four articles that state the shared aims of the center and the committee. It will help foster awareness of a dialogue culture that is based on the fundamentals of Shariah.
It also underlined joint efforts in organizing training programs and workshops related to applying communication skills to dialogue.
Members will convene meetings and seminars for youths.
