SAMITAH, Jizan: A shopowner and some bystanders decided to teach a young man some manners in this town after the lewd lad was seen harassing a young woman. According to yesterday’s Al-Madinah newspaper, the man was tailing the woman in the town’s Souq Al-Thahab, repeatedly asking her to take his number. Persistence didn’t pay off in this case. The young man followed the woman into a shop, only to be met by the owner and some others who had been watching the guy. A fight ensued, but apparently the young man wasn’t going to take the beating sitting down: He sent one person to the hospital. But his luck ran out when he was arrested and jailed.

TAIF: Local authorities in Taif arrested three men for wandering drunk and naked through the city’s Faisaliya district, Al-Jazira reported yesterday. The men were drunk — apparently very drunk — and decided it would be a great idea to strip down to the nude and wander the streets being loud. Obviously this didn’t last long before the men were arrested, facing a long night in jail and a very bad hangover.
