RIYADH: Star Ittihad midfielder and team captain Muhammad Nur was dropped from the Saudi national team that will participate in Gulf Cup competition in Oman scheduled to start Jan. 4. The Saudi coach was forced to take his name off the list after the player complained of pain in the stomach, which later turned out to be appendicitis. Nur has been admitted to hospital and will have to take at least two weeks rest after the operation.
