JEDDAH: Kai fitness center has announced its shift to a limited company that aims at establishing 25 branches around the Kingdom in the coming five years.

Badr Al-Shibani, CEO of Kai center, said that the expansion would emerge with a number of new goals that aim at spreading the awareness toward fitness and health. He added that the company also aims at establishing mini fitness centers inside districts to facilitate the idea of exercise among people.

Al-Shibani was speaking to the media during a press conference held on ship in Ohor area on Wednesday.

Regarding women’s specialized fitness centers, he said that there are no clear regulations about this issue. He said that all the existing women’s health clubs are not authorized by the General Presidency of Youth Welfare. “We would be the first to invest in women fitness centers as soon as there are clear regulations about them,” he assured. He noted that currently they would start by opening three new branches of Kai fitness center in Jeddah.

The branches would be located in Sairafi Mall, Mohammadiah District and the Golden Moor Mall.

“With this expansion, we are aiming at spreading the awareness on the importance of fitness and physical health in a time where obesity is dominating the population,” Al-Shibani remarked.

Kai center has also celebrated its change of identity during the press conference. Al-Shibani said that the old logo gave an indication of bodybuilding more than fitness. “The new logo gives an impression of general fitness, which is the main message we want to promote to people,” he said.

Kai center has presented many public lectures on general health issues and participated in several community service programs in an effort to spread physical health awareness.
