BURAIDAH: The plight of Palestinians in Gaza was the main topic of Friday sermons at all mosques throughout Saudi Arabia yesterday.
In Buraidah, Friday prayer leaders called upon all Muslims around the globe to help their Muslim brothers with all they can including praying to God to help save them from the barbarity and brutality of the Zionist killing machine. “We urge Muslims to donate blood, money, food and other supplies our brothers need in Gaza,” said Shaikh Salman bin Fahad Al-Odah, the prominent Saudi scholar.
“Pain must be translated into a workable action that does not exploit the plight of the Palestinians into any political gain to one party or another,” said Al-Odah adding the story is clear. “It is the wicked aggression of an unjust and racial power that kills and destroys against a powerless nation facing fire, blockade, poverty and starvation,” Al-Odah added.
In his letter to Friday prayer leaders which was posted in his website, islamtoday.net, Al-Odah urged all Muslims to protest against the Israeli aggression. “ This peaceful protest should be exercised as per the rules and regulations of every country.
Such protests build pressure on decision makers to react positively with the cause of their brothers,” Al-Odah said.
Other than Friday prayers, most of the mosques in Buraidah and other cities of Qassim have been praying Qunoot prayers almost daily since the start of the Israeli aggression last Saturday as a kind of solidarity with their bothers in Gaza. “ We ask individuals and government to help with continuous relief projects to Palestinians,” said Abdul Wahhab Al-Turairi, another wellknown Saudi scholar.
