JEDDAH: The winners of a major drawing/painting competition organized by Farook College Old Students Association (FOSA) were awarded fabulous prizes and merit certificates during a colorful ceremony at the girls’ section of International Indian School Jeddah (IISJ) recently. A large number of parents attended the function.
Indian Consul (Commerce) Cyril Tigga, IISJ Managing Committee Chairman Akbar Batcha, Jeddah National Hospital CEO V.P. Mohammed Ali, Acting IISJ Principal Syed Masood, Vice Principal Farhadunnisa, Hifsurrahman of Zimmo Trading and Syed Rafiuddin of Gulf Power distributed the prizes.
Top winners in the five categories of the competition were: Anisha Charley, Alex Thomas, Afsal Muneerudeen and Farhan Abdul Aziz in Group One; Mithil Rajashekhar Rao, Sahil Shajahan, Lamya Abdul Naser, Leena A and Syed Abdul Basit in Group Two, Gayathri Venu, Sarah Abdul Azeez, Lavanya Balakrishnan, Kristin Davis, Huda Siraj Navas and Jithin Suresh in Group Three, Muskina Nasreen A K, Nahida Beegum A, Susana Iqbal and Sehrish Shoukath in Group Four and Aslamiya Ashraf, Yaari K Nazir, Divya Parvathy Ganapathy and Syeda Sana Fatima in Group Five.
Earlier, Cyril Tigga opened Fostalgia celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of Farook College. School children presented a variety of cultural programs including songs and dances. FOSA President P.K. Ibrahim presided over the function while General Secretary Tajuddin PM welcomed the guests. Mohammed Bashir of Savola won the prize for a contest held for parents.
