DUBAI: Shuaa Capital said its shares have now been de-listed from the Kuwait Stock Exchange (KSE) with effect from Jan. 1, 2009, pursuant to the decision taken by the company’s shareholders in June 2008.
“Shuaa decided to de-list its shares from the KSE due to inconsistencies in regulations between the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and the KSE, making it difficult for dual listed companies to comply with the regulations of both exchanges. We also expect an improvement of liquidity and trading volumes of Shuaa Capital shares on the DFM as a result of the de-listing,” explained Oliver Schutzmann, head of investor relations and corporate communications in a statement.
