KOZHIKODE: Muslims of India should cultivate talents capable of facing the challenges of the modern age, said State Minister for Foreign Affairs E. Ahamad.
He made the remarks while inaugurating the Institute of Human Resources Activation and Management (IHRAM) at Markazu Ssaqafathu Ssunniyya at Karanthur near Kozhikode.
“Muslims cannot turn a blind eye to the technological revolution that is taking shape around the world. Muslims were in the forefront of all scientific movements in the good old days; regaining that position is our historical responsibility,” Ahamad said.
“The community should make many leaps and bounds in order not to be left behind in the world of knowledge. We should think ahead of the world tomorrow and today we should prepare a team to take up the challenges tomorrow. This needs combined efforts by all concerned,” the minister said.
Markazu General Secretary Kanthapuram Aboobacker Musliyar presided over the function. Markazu President Syed Fazal Shihab Al-Jifri inaugurated the website of IHRAM. Syed Fazal Jamalullaili, Syed Ali Bafaqi, Kerala Haj Committee Chairman professor A.K. Abdul Hameed, Markaz Manager C. Muhammad Faizee and other dignitaries were present. Markaz administrator A.P. Abdul Hakeem Azhari proposed the vote of thanks.
