TAIF: Pakistan’s Ambassador Shahid Karimullah has congratulated the management council (MC) of the girls section of Pakistan International School Taif (PIS Taif) on acquiring a new campus for itself. “They have also done another remarkable job by putting the school on a sound financial footing,” he said while inaugurating the girls section of PIS Taif on Monday.
The ambassador said the MC could not have succeeded without the support and assistance of the Ministry of Education (MoE) for which it is indebted to Taif Region Director General of Education Mohammad Saeed Abu Raas, and directorate of foreign education.
The ambassador appreciated the services of Dr. Fazal-ur Rahman, who managed the registration of the school in 1973 through a royal decree, for his efforts and awarded him a shield. “He has played a pioneering role by setting up a base and foundation for the education of Pakistani expatriates,” he added.
The ambassador urged the MC to continuously interact with parents and apprise them of all the developments for they have a better right to know the matters and affairs of the school and students. “The audit and accounts reports of the school should also be shared with the embassy, parents and the MOE,” he added.
Replying to a query, the ambassador said it would not be possible for the Kingdom to allot a piece of land for building a new school “However, the MC can work on the purchase of land or a building for the school,” he said.
In a message to the community, he said they should be grateful to Allah and also the Kingdom for living in a peaceful environment.
