RIYADH: Arab ministers who met here yesterday on the initiative of the Kingdom strongly condemned Israeli aggression on Gaza and appealed to all international humanitarian organizations to support the survivors with all needed medical facilities and proper health care.
The extraordinary meeting of Arab health ministers, hosted by Saudi Arabia and held at the Royal Conference Palace, was chaired by Health Minister Dr. Hamad Al-Manie, Prince Faisal bin Abdullah, president of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary-General Abdulrahman Al-Attiyah and Dr. Tawfik Ahmed Khoja, executive director of the GCC Health Ministers were also present.
The Council of Health Ministers also made an urgent appeal to the World Health Organization to request the United Nations Security Council to put a stop to this brutal invasion where innocent civilians have suffered death and devastation.
During the discussion, health ministers strongly felt that the aggression was a flagrant violation of all international norms and registered their vehement protest against Israeli’s persistent action.
Jameelah Al-Hayash, 15, a wounded Palestinian child who was brought on a Medevac plane late Monday, narrated her tale before the ministers how she and her brother was injured due to brutal bombardments by Israeli aggressors.
“We did not do any harm to anybody,” she said in her presentation, which was the first item on yesterday’s ministerial agenda.
